This is my first children's picture book published in Japan.
I wanted to have the embroidery been necessary for the story itself, not just for noticeable.
This is the story that a girl named Stitch entertains people with embroidery.

Rather than lamenting that there is no place to go nor anything to do, she shows us to spend an exciting time with some ingenuity with something at hand. The story overlaps with the current way of spending times under COVID-19.

楽しみに待っていたことが不意になくなってしまう、そんな時、どうやってその時を過ごすか。その先の自分の気持ちの持っていきようも、関わる人との距離感も、それによって変わっていくでしょう。本作の主人公は、針と糸だけでうまれゆく不思議な存在と戯れることで気分が一新し、日常に笑顔で戻り、退屈の原因と思っていた人たちにもそれをお裾分けしたくなりました。ゼロから始まる創造と想像がふくよかに手を繋ぐ物語です。
